The “Trishul” was given by Lord Shiva, it symbolises multiple things: Trinity (Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh), 3 Guna’s (Sattva, Rajas, Tamas), 3 Time Periods (Past, Present, Future).

Mace

The “Gada” was a gift by Kubera which symbolizes Love, Loyalty and Devotion.

Lotus

The gift from Lord Brahma, the “Padma” is a symbol of knowledge, wisdom and awakening to seek the eternal truth

Conch

The God of the Ocean, Varuna gave the “Sankha” to the Goddess which symbolises “Aum”, the symbol of the sound of creation.

The Axe

Brahma’s son, Vishwakarma, who was the engineer and carpenter of gods, was responsible for constructing numerous divine weapons. He gifted the goddess an axe, which symbolizes the creative and destructive aspects of energy.

Thunderbolt

Gifted by Lord Indra, “Vajra” symbolises Firmness of Character, Determination, and Supreme Power.

Discus

The Sudarshan Chakra was a gift by Lord Vishnu and symbolises the Goddess as the centre of this universe as it revolves around her finger.

The Bow and Arrow

The "Dhanush” was gifted by Lord Vayu and the “Baan” by Lord Surya symbolises Energy the Bow as Potential Energy and the Arrow as Kinetic energy.

Sword

The “Khadga” was given by Lord Yama and symbolises Authority, Being Unbiased and Discrimination Between Good and Bad.

As Berger Priyo Pujo steps into its 11th year, the excitement and engagement will be ten-fold higher this year from Berger. As we are all aware of the fact that Durga Pujo is all about good vibes, festive spirit and joyous celebrations. ”Dhunuchi Nach” is part of such a joyous celebration and not to forget key part of our heritage and culture executed in Durga Pujo.

What is Dhunuchi Nach?

It is a dance with terracotta censer in front of the Goddess and has been embedded in the rituals and festivities of Durga Pujo. Berger brings forth a new addition to the festivities by introducing a “Dhunuchi Nach” competition for everyone to be a part of Berger Priyo Pujo.

How to participate in the Dhunuchi Contest in two easy steps:

Step 1: Upload your Dhunuchi video on social media.

Step 2: Use hashtag #BergerDhunuchiNaach and tag @bergerpaintspriyopujo on Facebook and @Berger_PriyoPujo on Instagram

  1. The Individual Dhunuchi Nach contest is open for all individuals to participate.
  2. All interested individuals must confirm their participation by uploading the Dhunuchi Nach video on social media.
  3. Participants need to upload their Dhunuchi nach video on Facebook, Instagram or both tag Berger Priyo Pujo Profiles/Handles and add #BergerDhunuchiNaach in the post caption.
  4. Dress Code: Attire of your choice.
  5. Top 10 videos will get Rs. 10,000 each.
  6. All disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Kolkata High Court.
